A loan of $1,850 helped a member to buy manicure supplies.

El Progreso Group's story

Fifteen women from the city of Mariano Roque Alonso joined together with the desire to get ahead and with a great spirit of self improvement. They are all very self-sacrificing; they strive for their families’ stability since they are women heads of household who are charged with supporting their homes.

One of the group members is Honorina who is a manicurist. She comments that she has a lot of work because she has many customers who always seek out her services. She defines herself as a very hardworking, enterprising and, above all, tenacious woman. She strives daily to support her family and give them a better standard of living.

She is asking for help from Fundación Paraguaya and from Kiva to buy nail polish, emery boards and other products and supplies for her work. She thanks the Fundación for the opportunity it gives her.
