Cerro Poty Group's story

The women of Cerro Poty Committee are hard working people. They are very grateful to the foundation and to kiva for the opportunity of progress that they have given them. Currently it is made up of 15 women who work very happily in the program and want to get ahead and thus help their families.
The president, María Lourdes, lives with her husband and children. She sells sweets for a living, i.e. sweet pastries. She has her business in the downtown of the city of Caacupé. She comments that she has good sales and tells us that one of her goals is to continue growing so that in this way she can continue helping her husband to keep the house.
She is requesting a loan for the purchase of flour, sugar, sweets and additional ingredients which produce the sweets that she sells. She, together with her partners, constantly conduct activities and thereby promote integration among the partners and try to continue with their payments.
