Ali is a 29-year-old single Lebanese man. He lives with his five siblings and parents. Ali’s family members joined forces and they are more than happy for being such a supportive, helpful and collaborative family just to be able to cover the heavy costs of life and pay their two school-aged childrens’ fees.
Ali has ten years’ experience in the agriculture field and started his own business as a farmer in 2005. He takes good care of his land and he’s sure that it will return on him with excellent and natural fruits and vegetables.
Today, he’s looking to borrow $1000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase new agriculture supplies for his tractor. In the future, he plans to buy new land and expand his cultivation.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
