Armen's story

Armen is 26 years old; he lives in Kapan. After finishing middle school in Kapan, Armen entered and graduated from Yerevan State University (Radiophysics Department). At this time, Armen works as an electrician and lives in the village of Tsav in the Syunik province. Armen is unmarried and lives with his parents. Armen and his family have been in agriculture for the past 7 years. They have their own small piece of land and lease some more land, on which they grow apples, pears, potatoes and cabbage for sale. Besides growing crops, Armen and his family raise livestock, raising cattle and chickens. With his parents, Armen sells the vegetables in the Syunik regional market, but his regular customers buy meat, milk, eggs, fruit and vegetables directly from his home. Aren is requesting a loan of 1,000,000 dram to buy new varieties of potatoes to sow and to prepare for the sowing season (purchase diesel fuel, fertilizer, etc.)
