A loan of $600 helped a member to purchase two sheep for breeding.

Karagyz's Group's story

Karagyz is the leader of this group. She is 60 and married to a retiree. With her husband this brave woman has raised ten children. Two younger sons live with their parents and help them with housework. Thirteen years ago, with an initial investment of 10000 soms, Karagyz started to sell potatoes and apples. With the profits gained from the trade Karagyz was able to save money to purchase a vehicle for his son. Some profits she invests in livestock breeding. Reselling livestock after fattening she earns an additional 3000 soms per month. With money received from this loan she wants to purchase two sheep for breeding, fattening and resale. In the near future she plans to start repairing their house.
