A loan of $600 helped to buy seeds for growing corn.

Juana's story

Juana was born in the city of Cochabamba. She is not married but lives with Rene. The couple have three school-age children. Juana works as a farmer, growing corn and cassava. She has a plot of land in the community of La Planchada where she lives and works. She also raise livestock and has some cows and pigs.

The loan that Juana is taking out will be used to buy seeds for growing corn and then planting pasture for her cattle. This is the first time that she has worked with Emprender because it is the only institution that has given her the opportunity to improve her farming and livestock raising businesses. Juana is a hard-working person and she feels grateful for the opportunity that she has been given. In the photo, Juana is shown together with her youngest daughter.
