Negra is a very hardworking woman who is dedicated to the door-to-door business of selling underwear and cosmetic products. She is the coordinator of this group called El Tesoro 1, 2 & 3 (The Treasure). They are located in one of the rural communities from San Pedro de Macoris that surround sugarcane fields, known as 'Bateyes.' She is the mother of two children (adult age). They are living separate from her simple home, which she shares with her long-term partner.

Negra is receiving her sixth loan with Esperanza International after having successfully paid all her previous loans. She started her business with her firS. loan with Esperanza three years ago. She will use this loan to purchase underwear and cosmetic products for her business. She will reinveS. her profits in her business because Christmas season is coming and all the businesses have better sales. Also she will save and try to get some of the things she needs.

Thanks for supporting this group of entrepreneurs!

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
