Buziika South B Group's story

The group leader of this small group is Jane S.. She is currently in the business of tailoring and is requesting a loan to purchase a babelock and clothe designing machines. Jane is 31 years old and is a widow. She has 2 children ranging from age 4 to 6 and her children go to school. Each week, Jane makes approximately UGX 42000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to take children to school and meet the family's basic needs Jane has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 300000 in order to purchase her own sewing machine and the loan was paid back on time.

Jane is joined in her small group by Esther K., Hasifa N., Jane M., and Olivia N.. Esther K. has a business in cattle rearing and wants to purchase a cow. Hasifa N. is currently operating a business in charcoal sales and wants a loan to increase working capital. Jane M. operates a business of charcoal selling and wants to increase working capital. Olivia N. is currently owns a retail shop and is requesting a loan to purchase more products and increase her customer base.
