A loan of $2,375 helped a member to purchase pigs to raise and then sell.

Maria Auxiliadora Group's story

The Maria Auxiliadora group was formed when a number of residents from the Tacuruty community in the city of Santaní joined together. All of the members have their own independent activities, but they also work together on activities to raise capital for use in case of unexpected difficulties. The members have formed a very close group, able to work together well on activities that strengthen their camaraderie.

An example of hard work is Teresa, who has been able to help her family get ahead by raising pigs. She says that through her work she has been able to continue growing, but that it has taken a lot of sacrifice and effort. In spite of that, however, it is going very well for her, since she has good customers. She would like to continue with her work so that she can keep helping her family. Because of this, she is asking for a loan to purchase young pigs to raise and then sell.

She and her friends are very happy with the support of the foundation and Kiva.

In this group: Zulmira, Teresa , Julia , Francisca , Teodolina , Myrian , Carolina , Marisa , Mirian , Felicita , Elvira
