A loan of $3,375 helped a member to buy fabric, thread, buttons, and zippers.

Corazon De Maria Group's story

This communal bank was formed thanks to one of its members who learned about the program for women entrepreneurs. After that she organized her neighbors and friends, and from that came the communal bank called Corazón D. María (Mary’s Heart) which is maD. up for 15 hardworking and tenacious women.

An example of that work is Zunilda, who, thanks to her sewing shop, has been able to get ahead and help her family. She says that her work is going very well since she always has a lot of orders and work. She considers herself to be a hardworking, tenacious, and enterprising woman. She works hard every day to give her family a better future and a new way of life.

She asks for a loan to buy fabric, thread, buttons, and zippers which will be a great help to her shop. She thanks the foundation and Kiva for the opportunity they’ve given her.
