Mary, 39, is single with one child who is five years old. She lives at a rental house that has electricity but not piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past three years, she has operated a cosmetic business, selling to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her place of operation. She dreams of establishing a wholesale shop in the future.
With this loan of 60,000 Kenya shillings (KES), she wants to purchase facial gels, soaps, and food oil for her cosmetic shop. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
