Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $800 helped to buy a computer for his cybercafé.

Esteban Ramón's story

Sr. Esteban is 38 years old, single, and has no children. He manages a cybercafé and performs computer work from his home in the city of Itá. Esteban decided to start this business because he gained a great deal of knowledge about computer systems from his previous job as an assistant at a computer institute.

He owns several computers and says that he has done very well in his business. Esteban wants to buy another computer to help improve his income. He is very enterprising and wants to keep his venture in operation. Therefore, he approached Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva in order to obtain a loan. He is grateful for the opportunity that has been given because his business is very important to him.
