A loan of $650 helped to purchase wheels for his tractor.

Mukhran's story

Mukhran, 32, lives with his retired parents in the village of Gomi, in West Georgia, where he conducts the family's farming activities. They own three milk cows from which his mother produces and sells an average of 40 kg of cheese per month. On the family-owned 2-hectare plot of land, Mukhran grows maize, about 60% of which is sold, while the remainder is used to feed the cows. Mukhran also owns an old tractor with which he does seasonal agricultural work, earning about 200 Laris per month in tilling seasons. The family's total average monthly income is 510 Laris, including his parents’ pensions

Mukhran is now requesting a loan to purchase new wheels for his tractor. As soon as he replaces the old wheels, he will be able to reengage in his work. He plans to save earned income to purchase furniture for the house, as the family currently has very little.
