A loan of $1,125 helped a member to buy scrap for scrap selling business.

Shahnaz's Group's story

Shahnaz is a seamstress, and sews clothes for her neighboring clients. She earns reasonably good profits every month. She started this business a few years ago because her husband’s income was not enough to fulfill the needs of the whole family. Shahnaz has given birth to three daughters and three sons; five of them are studying while her elder son left his education after 6th grade, and started a scrap selling business.

He is in the process of establishing his business, and Shahnaz has applied for a loan from KIVA partner Asasah to help him. With the loan he will buy scrap in bulk quantity to be able to fulfill his clients' requirements and increase his profits.

Shahnaz is hopeful that an investment will help her son in his business, and he will be able to run it better.

Note: "In the picture, the lady who has passbook (called Asasah passbook) in her hand is Shahnaz."
