Kilwoowa West D Group's story

The group leader of this small group is Halima N.. She is currently in the business of tailoring and is requesting a loan to buy a sewing machine. Halima is 35 years old and a widow. She has 2 children aged 16 and 20 and her children go to school. Each week, Halima makes approximately UGX 15000 in profit and with the extra profit from her loan she hopes to be able to buy more cloth material. Halima has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 300000 in order to invest in her business and the loan was paid back on time.


Halima is joined in her small group by Florence K., Zubeda M., Rehema N., and Rovisa N.. Florence K. has a business in charcoal sales and wants to add to her charcoal business. Zubeda M. is currently operating a retail shop business and wants a loan to increase capital stock. Rehema N. operates a business of charcoal selling and wants to boost business. Rovisa N. is currently in the business of selling clothes and is requesting a loan to expand her business.
