Paola's story

Paola is a member of the 'Alisson II' community bank which is located in Tarapoto district, in Lamas province, in San Martín department. She is 27 years old, married, and has one school-age child.

Since she was a young girl, Paola helped her mom with her clothing business. This is how she grew up. When she formed her own home, she saw the need to start her own business in order to make income and thereby contribute towards her household finances. With the help of Manuela Ramos and capital of 500 soles, she managed to start her own business and gradually fit it out.

Paola is currently setting up a space in her home in which to display her products in a display cabinet. This will allow her to attract new customers. She is always in search of new products so that she can provide her customers with more options.

With this new loan for 1,300 soles, Paola will buy children's and adults' clothes and shoes in order to stock her business. Some of them are to fill orders that her customers have made.

Paola is a hard-working and entrepreneurial woman. Her dream is to have a larger business which will allow her to make more profits. She is very happy with the support that she receives from Movimiento Manuela Ramos.
