A loan of $750 helped to buy imported second-hand clothes.

Lucia's story

Lucia, 48, is a hardworking, dedicated woman besides being cheerful and extroverted. She lives with Victor, her spouse, and her 15-year-old son and a nephew who she’s helping with his schooling; they all live together in a house she owns.

Lucia sells imported second-hand clothing that she gets in a shopping center in the city of Pucallpa where a wider variety of clothes and at better prices are found. Said merchandise is then sold in distant zones and in other towns. She’s been doing this for six years and is very well known in her work. What she enjoys about the work is being able to take short trips and getting to know other places and people as well as being active and feeling productive. Her plan is to change her business and open a store or a restaurant at home.

This will be MFP loan #10. She feels grateful for the opportunity of having a line of credit so she commits to be punctual with her installment payments. She will use the requested amount to buy assorted imported clothes in various styles and in larger amounts at a lower price to improve her profit margin.
