Susana's story

Susana is a member of the “Kapia Marca” communal bank in Yunguyo District and Province, Puno Department. She’s 50 years old, married and completed secondary school; she has five children who are all independent.

She’s worked with the Manuela Ramos Movement for six years. Her first loan was for 300 new soles that she used to increase her capital in her grocery store and also in her livestock sales.

She will request a new, 3000 new sol, loan to buy a head of cattle to fatten up (three months) and also to buy fodder. Her husband helps her in the business. Her dream for the future is to have dairy cows to improve profits. What she likes best about her communal bank is the meetings and spending amusing time with her coworkers.
