A loan of $575 helped to buy assorted merchandise to stock her store.

Norma's story

Norma, 40, is a hardworking, dynamic woman who wants to make progress. She lives comfortably in her own house with her spouse, Orlando, and her two children who are 24 and 15 years old and her mother who she cares for because of her advanced age.

Norma’s activity is selling basic staple groceries in a store she opened in her house with start-up capital her spouse gave her two months ago; she’s been buying in small amounts.

Thanks to the welcome she’s gotten she managed to sell out everything she bought and this encouraged her to buy more merchandise turning over her merchandise more. Her son helps her tend to customers so she can socialize with them and exchange ideas. Besides, the income helps her help her spouse with household expenses because what he earns in his lumber selling business often isn’t enough. She plans to expand and stock it with a wider variety of products.

This will be her MFP loan #4. She feels happy and grateful for the financial support she’s been receiving and wants to continue to count on it and this is why she commits to make her installment payments like she’s done with previous loans.

She will use the requested amount to buy larger amounts and more variety of products to stock her store; she believes that this will lead to greater preference by her customers.
