A loan of $450 helped to buy cotton.

Brigida's story

Brígida is a member of the “Las Águilas” (The Eagles) communal bank in Callería District, Ucayali Department. She’s 53 years old and a single mother; she lives with her four children.

She’s been working with Manuela Ramos loans for four years. She runs a health clinic in the city of San Ramón. Since she’s a nurse by profession she’s who attends to people who come by requesting services.

She will use the 1200 new sol loan to buy: a stretcher, a kilo of cotton, a package of gauze, a box of adhesive bandages, 2 liters of alcohol, a box of disposable needles and a box of disposable syringes. All these supplies are necessary in her business in order to provide good attention to the people needing care.

The work she does has given her many things like good friendships and income needed to stay in business, all thanks to Manuela Ramos. Her only hope is that it will continue to grant her loans.
