A loan of $1,125 helped to buy 5 cases of 1-liter oil containers, one case of spark plugs and other merchandise.

Rosario's story

Rosario is a member of the communal bank "Las Caribeñas" ["The Caribbean Women"], of the district of Manantay, in the Department of Ucayali. She is 45 years old and married with two children.

She has been a client of Manuela Ramos for approximately 7 years. She has a business selling lubricants and spare parts for motorcycles. She operates this business as a partner together with her husband, who is responsible for serving the customers.

With her new loan for 3,000 Peruvian new soles, she will buy: 5 cases of 1-liter oil containers, 6 filters, 1 case of spark plugs, 1 bucket of grease, 1 case of bearings, ½ dozen turn signals, inner tubes and tire patches.

She manages this business together with her husband, and they do this in a coordinated manner so they can keep everything in order. This means that their family is more united, because the couple knows how to work together to help provide their children with a better future. Thanks to the help from Manuela Ramos, their economic situation has improved.
