A loan of $2,450 helped a member to purchase a refrigerator.

Yhire Group's story

The YHIRE communal bank will begin its first loan cycle in Pro Mujer with the Santiago II regional office. It is composed of eight members and has a board of directors headed by señora Zenobia. The members have various businesses including a neighborhood shop, making children’s clothing, selling meals, selling beauty products, selling toys, sewing petticoats, and selling spices.

Señora Zenobia says that this is the first time that she has worked with Pro Mujer and that she established the communal bank at the invitation of her friends. Currently, she has a neighborhood shop which she has worked with for some time.

The loan she is applying for now is to purchase a refrigerator which she will acquire at wholesale in the community of La Ceja. She will install it in her shop to keep and preserve the products that she sells. Her business allows her to generate income to support her family. She is married and has two children. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer she responded that she likes the training in finance and health.
