Rémède Plus Group's story

Riddy is the leader of the Community Bank named “Remède Plus”. It is consists of 17 micro-entrepreneurs jointly united for the same goal- to grow their businesses with loans received from Kiva through IMF HOPE RDC.

Riddy has been part of the micro-enterprise world since 2006. He runs a drugstore in the eastern and most populated area of Kinshasa. He has already received two loans from microfinance institution HOPE DRC and successfully repaid them. With the next loan, he is planning to increase the inventory of his business by buying more antibiotics and medicines needed by his customers. His business brings in 50 USD of profit each week. His ambition is to open another drugstore. His strength is purchasing the appropriate drugs for his customers. Riddy is 30 years old, married and the father of two children; ages 1 and 3.
