A loan of $575 helped to hire labourers.

Paulino's story

Paulino, age 45, is married to Rosa, age 44. They have five children. They live together in their own home in the Pichari district. Every morning, when he wakes up and sees the distant rays of the sun, he knows it's time to start working on the farm. Thanks to his father's teaching, he now cultivates cocoa and coffee, which he is able to sell nationally and internationally.
He farms organically and with natural fertilizers, so his crops are in great demand. Paulino is currently making a good income, thanks to his dedication to his work. He normally works with Rosa, but sometimes their children help out as well. During the harvest season he needs to hire labourers to help out. In the near future, he will expand his lands in order to make a better income.
This will be his second loan with MFP, so he promises to pay his quotas punctually. With the 1,500 nuevos soles, he will invest in hiring labourers to help him keep his fields free of weeds.
