Monrovia Group's story

Esther, who is in her early 40s, is married with five children, all of whom are still in school. She also takes care of her father. Esther has been running a clothing shop for fours years now. She works from 8 am to 7:30 pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit. This will be her 7th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. Esther used the previous loans to buy a plot of land, pay school fees and household expenses, improve her shop by inserting more shelves and increase her stock of clothing. She has paid back all her loans successfully. Esther is requesting a loan to increase her clothing stock. Her dream is to one day be able to open a wholesale shop. She will share this loan with her loan group "Monrovia", which has a total of 16 members who will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
