A loan of $750 helped to buy electronic tools for her children's studies.

Leoncia's story

Leoncia is a member of the village bank Senor de Huanca. She is 41 years old and a mother of 5 children. She has been part of Finca Peru for a year and a half. Before that she was selling anticuchos [grilled beef heart] and chicha [a corn drink]. Thanks to help from her daughters, she now sells groceries at markets - her daughters took charge of the previous business.

Thanks to her prior loans she has been able to support her two of her children as they study electronics. She is very thankful for the trainings she has received because she has learned to save and be responsible and value her family. The requested loan will be invested in the purchase of electronic tools for her children. Her short-term goal is to buy land so that she can live a peaceful life with her family.
