A loan of $750 helped to buy flour, sugar, butter, yeast, and raisins.

Basilia's story

Basilia is a member of the Communal Bank “Señor D. Huanca”. She is 56 years old and the mother of seven children. Basilia has been a member of FINCA Peru for the past year. She previously was a member of FINCA for three years, but decided to leave because of family problems.

Basilia has a bakery in her home. Whenever there are rural fairs being held, she takes the opportunity to sell her bread. Thanks to the loans from FINCA, she has been able to pay for her children’s educational expenses at the university. Basilia enjoys the training seminars that focus on taking care of the family and learning how to save.

The loan she is requesting will be invested in the purchase of flour, sugar, butter, yeast, and raisins so that she can make bread dolls for the upcoming festivals. Her goal is to equip her bakery and continue growing.
