Razia's Group's story

A talented and caring lady, Razia operates a grocery store at her home to supplement the income for her family. She sells through her store edible items for children like chips and biscuits, and spices, lentils and cooking oil to her community clients. Her talent in dealing and reasonable rates attract clients to her store to buy products.

Her husband operates a local food business. He sells Samosay and Pakoray (a popular food items made with gram flour and filled with spices and potatoes). The taste of his products is very good and he makes good profits every month.

Razia has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for the further improvement of her husband’s business. With the loan, he will purchase required ingredients such as gram floor, cooking oil, potatoes and spices in bulk quantity that will allow him to earn better profits from his business. He has been operating his business for past many years and Razia is hopeful about his business success as a result of loan investment.
