A loan of $300 helped to buy bread, sausages, and meat for her business.

Wendy Marlen's story

Wendy is a hard-working woman who puts a lot of energy into what she does. A year ago she started her own business of selling hot dogs, nachos, grilled hamburgers, and French fries in her neighborhood, and her husband also delivers them house to house on his motorbike. Wendy started the business when she saw that the family’s finances were poor and sometime there was not enough food to eat. This happened because her husband was let go from a company and because of his age, was not able to find a good job. Thus she took on the task of working in a business where she would make her own money, be her own boss, support her husband with the expenses, and allow them to work together to prosper.

Wendy gives good service to her customers in the business and it is growing. Sometimes, however, she has more customers than she has product, so that is why she wants to buy more basic supplies such as hot dog rolls, hamburgers, meat, sausages, nachos and cheese to fill the orders.
