A loan of $550 helped to buy farm supplies and to pay labor costs.

Alexander's story

Alexander, 37, has three children. He lives in a rural community in the Municipality of Siguatepeue, Comayagua. His nuclear family is composed of his wife and three children (18, 15 and 12 years old); one of his sons is currently attending elementary school.

His economic activity is farming, specifically growing vegetables (tomatoes). He’s been farming on his own lands that he acquired through a family inheritance for 16 years.

Alexander is very optimistic because his land is very fertile and appropriate for farming. He is currently asking for a loan to buy supplies and to pay labor costs to bring in the harvest. He hopes to save part of his income to create an estate for his children.
