A loan of $750 helped to buy paint, lay flooring and improve her bathroom infrastructure.

Marubeni's story

37-year-old Marubeni is a hard-working and entrepreneurial woman. She lives with Digno and they have two children aged 12 and 2. They live in their own home which they managed to buy with a lot of effort. Marubeni's business is selling food such as set menus and á la carte dishes. She has a small sales location which she managed to set up in her own home, in which she set up the tables and chairs she needs to serve her customers comfortably. With her delicious dishes and the good flavor that she learned from her mother, she has gained the loyalty of her customers who she has served for five years. What Marubeni likes about her business is having an income which she can use to support her partner with the household expenses as he works for a private company and his income often doesn't reach far enough. For this reason, she decided to start her own business. However, her work is very exhausting and she is tired at the end of every work day. This does not discourage her though and she continues working with a desire to make progress. Her plans are to grow her business, improve her premises and vary her dishes.

This will be Marubeni's fifth loan from MFP. She feels happy and grateful for the opportunity to have a line of credit which she can use to make progress in her business. For this reason, she pledges to make her repayments on time as she did with her previous loans. Marubeni will use the sum of 2,000 soles that she has requested to invest in improving her business premises, painting the walls, repairing the floor and finishing off the bathrooms, so that she can provide her customers with a better atmosphere and thereby keep their loyalty.
