A loan of $800 helped buy two milking cows.

Álvaro's story

Álvaro is 47 years old and lives with his companion and five children.

He has dedicated himself to basic veterinary services (practice) for 8 years since his parents, with much effort, sent him to study for a bachelor’s. He only completed a year and a half, as he did not have the financial resources to continue. During this time, he learned many technical skills to carry out this activity, which he was able to use on behalf of his family’s animals. Later, he started working independently from 4:00 am until dark when customers called for him.

Álvaro buys the medicines he administers to the animals at the place closest to his house. There are times, however, when he can’t find what he needs and must then travel to another location.

Álvaro requests a loan from Fundación Campo to buy two milking cows, which will provide another source of income for his family. Álvaro has the disposition to continue learning veterinary science and to take some classes, with the goal of increasing his knowledge in this arena.
