La Esperanza Group's story

The committee called La Esperanza, or “Hope,” is composed of 21 hardworking, enterprising women. They are currently in their fourth cycle. This group stands out in the neighborhood for being very united and responsible. They have a great entrepreneurial spirit. They are not afraid of any challenges.

One of the members is Nancy. She sells all kinds of jewelry. She says that she has a lot of customers, as many men as women, which brings her a good income. She says that through this work, she has been able to get ahead and help her family. One of her dreams is to have a well stocked jewelry store where she can have all kinds of jewelry, which would allow her to attract more customers.

She is requesting the loan to purchase rings, bracelets, chains, earrings, and other kinds of jewelry that she will use to offer a greater selection of jewelry. Thanks to the opportunity provided to her by Kiva and the foundation, she finds herself a step closer to realizing her dreams.
