A loan of $750 helped to invest in the purchase of more merchandise such as: pop, milk, eggs, oil, salt, cream, water, rice.

Carolina Aida's story

Mrs. Carolina Aída is 48 and married to Mr. Florentino, a farmer. They have three children: Miguel is in his third year of preparatory school, and the other two are married. Carolina has a grocery store, which she has run for over 25 years. She says that she decided to invest in this business because she wanted to help her husband with the household costs, since he works too much in the fields and does not make enough for them to have good economic solvency. She also wanted to continue supporting her son in his studies so that he can have a good professional career. Carolina will invest this loan in the purchase of more merchandise such as: pop, milk, eggs, oil, salt, cream, water, and rice. This will allow her to have more stock. As one of her goals for her business, Mrs. Ofe (as she is known in the community) wants to see it grow. She is thinking about building a restaurant in the future, and buying tables and chairs and making food. This way she will increase her income. She thanks Fundacion Realidad and the Kiva lenders for all of our support and confidence in her. This loan will be very helpful for her, since she can now continue to invest in her business and support her family.
