A loan of $1,450 helped a member to buy a buffalo for her livestock business.

Akbari's Group's story

Akbari is 41 years old and spends her time staying at home and doing her household responsibilities. Her husband sells buffaloes and milk to his community clients for profit. Akbari provides full support to her husband and takes care of the cattle by keeping their living place clean and giving them good quality food. She has given birth to 6 children. Her eldest son is 15 years old and helps his father to operate his business.

Akbari has applied for a loan from Kiva's partner Asasah for the further expansion of her husband’s business. With the loan, he will buy another buffalo, which he will sell for profit. He is operating his business for the past many years and Akbari is confident that an investment will bring more profits to him and will improve the living conditions of her family.
