A loan of $875 helped to purchase additional livestock.

Mayrambu's story

Mayrambu is 58 years old and married. Her family's primary business is fattening up and reselling livestock and farming. Started in 1972, during the period of the Soviet Union, and with an initial sum of 120 Soviet rubles, this business currently yields about 10,000 so (KGS) per month. At the present time, Mayrambu's family treats 1.74 hectares of irrigated land, where they grow potatoes and multi-year herbs. In order to further increase livestock headcount, Mayrambu requested a loan in the sum of 40,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to purchase additional livestock. This will help her expand her business and increase livestock headcount and, thus, in her opinion, make a good capital investment.
