A loan of $1,175 helped a member to buy fertilizers for her business.

Khursheeda's Group's story

Khursheeda is 33 years old. She is an embroidery and sewing expert and works for her community clients. Due to her good quality work, she receives regular orders every month. Her husband sells fertilizers. His customers include farmers who purchase fertilizers from him to use on their crops.

Khursheeda is the mother of two sons and two daughters. None of them is able to attend school due to the poor financial conditions of Khursheeda and her husband.

She has applied for a loan from KIVA partner Asasah for her brother who also runs a fertilizer retail business and who is currently facing low stock problems. With the help of a loan he will purchase different brands and variety of fertilizers for his shop to generate more sales and profits. He has been operating this business for many years and Khursheeda is hopeful that a loan will help her brother increase his business profits.
