Khim, 51, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia, an area known for pre-angkorean sites.
Khim sells hand-made brooms, and her husband is a construction worker. This couple works so hard every day for incomes to help cover the family expenses.
Khim is requesting a loan of USD 800 to purchase a new motorbike for her husband to travel to sell the brooms. By doing so, he will generate more income.
In the future, she would like to use any additional income to repair her house. This will be her first loan from KREDIT, a longstanding Kiva partner.
KREDIT Microfinance Institution Plc., is one of Kiva’s most established partners in Southeast Asia. The organization empowers the economically-active poor and small entrepreneurs by providing inclusive financial services. Beyond loans, KREDIT offers low-income clients complementary training in debt management, savings and budgeting.
