A loan of $2,300 helped a member to buy canvas.

Kory Jaulitas Group's story

The “Kory Jaulitas” community bank are about to start their fourteenth loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the German Busch regional office. This group has nine members and is run by a board of directors which is led by Susana. The businesses that the members of the bank are engaged in are varied and include running a grocery store, selling vegetables, knitting gloves by hand, machine knitting and knitting blankets.

Susana tells us that she has been working with Pro Mujer for six months and joined through an invitation from a friend. She has a business selling rugs which she has been working in for years.

The loan that Susana is currently taking out will be used to increase her capital, buying canvas in the 16 de Julio market. She will later sell her products from her sales location.. This work enables her to make income with which to support her family. She is married and has four children.

When we asked her what she likes about Pro Mujer, Susana replied that she likes the health services and the savings.
