A loan of $500 helped to buy fabric, rulers, scissors, thread, and replacement parts for her sewing machine.

Nydia Sofia's story

Nydia, a seamstress, lives in the city of Granada. She is 40 years old, married, and has children. She has been working independently at this business activity for around ten years. She learned this business thanks to a sewing course that she took after she finished high school.

She learned to make all types of clothing, but she specializes in making girls’ clothing. According to her customers, those are the best designs that she makes. She also makes fabric bags and pillows.

She requested the loan to buy fabric, rulers, scissors, thread, and replacement parts for her sewing machine. This investment will help her get fabric at a good price, and to perform good maintenance on her sewing machines.

One of her projects is to establish a line of clothing for girls and to distribute it outside of Granada.
