Butimba D Group's story

The group leader of this small group is Scovia N.. She has a retail shop and is requesting a loan to purchase a weighing scale and fridge. Scovia is 35 years old and is married. She has seven children ranging from age 2 to 17 and her children go to school. Each week, Scovia makes approximately UGX 30000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to meet basic needs. Scovia has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 200000 in order to increase her stock and the loan was paid back on time.

Scovia is joined in her small group by Rose N., Cissy N., Harriet K., and Betty Bazibyewa. Rose N. has a business in food cooking and wants to increase her stock of foodstuffs. Cissy N. is currently operating a business selling fruit and wants a loan to expand her business. Harriet K. operates a retail shop and wants to buy a fridge. Betty Bazibyewa is currently in the business of selling charcoal and is requesting a loan to increase her stock.
