A loan of $650 helped to buy wood and other supplies for making furniture.

Blanca Daisy's story

Blanca Daisy is 47 years old and has been married for 25 years. She has four children (ages 17, 20, 22, and 24). They live in the neighborhood of Tulian Rio in Omoa Cortes.

Doña Blanca is a very enterprising woman who manages a woodworking shop where she and her husband produce furniture such as dining sets, cooktops, bookcases, wardrobes, and other pieces. Everything they make is based on orders from their customers. Her husband is a woodworker and works every day to produce the furniture. This business previously belonged to a relative and they took over six years ago. Their work is driven by orders and their products are sold for cash. To generate extra income, Blanca makes and sells bread every day.

Blanca has received eight loans to invest in the purchase of wood and supplies for making furniture. Part of the money was used to buy supplies for making bread. Working in this manner has improved the quality of life of her family and has helped to maintain her business.
