Maria Nelsy's story

María Nelsy is 55 years old and has been married for 22 years. She has four children (ages 22, 28, 30, and 32) and lives in San Manuel Cortes.

Doña María is a hardworking woman. Ten years ago, she began selling basic food products such as sugar, beans, meat, salt, rice, eggs, chicken, soft drinks, donuts, candy, and other items. She attends to her customers every day with the help of her husband. This business is located in a place that is accessible for her customers.

This is the eighth loan she has requested so that she can stock her business each day. With the income she has earned, María has been able to sustain her family and achieve a better quality of life. In her house, there is a connected apartment that she rents out in order to generate extra income.

Her dream is to keep her business well-stocked and use the profits to build additional apartments so that she can earn more income in the future.
