Ayaba's story

Ayaba is a 24-year-old woman. She is married to a storekeeper. She has two children, one of whom is in school. Her oldest is 5 years old and her youngest is two.

Ayaba has been a hairdresser since 2007. She buys and sells hair extensions, pagnes [traditional wraps] and wedding dresses for all the clients in her boutique. She purchases supplies in Lomé. She works by herself. Presently, she does not have any problems.

Ayaba asked for her 1st loan from WAGES for the purchase and sale of pagnes and hair extensions. She would like to reinvest in this business.

In the coming years, Ayaba would like to grow the business. She says that she will take care of her family with the profits.
