Ephantus's story

Ephantus is a farmer in Murang'a. He is 41 years old with 20 years of experience in farming. His farm currently produces milk and tea for the local market. He runs a retail business in a nearby market in addition to farming. He is married with two children ages 13 and 7 years. Ephantus has requested a loan of 63,600 Kenya shillings (KES) from Juhudi Kilimo to purchase and insure a dairy cow to boost his dairy farming business. He hopes to improve his dairy breeds and earn more income, which will enable him to educate his children and improve her family's living standards. Ephantus also mentions low prices for milk in the local markets as his main challenge.
