A loan of $4,225 helped a member to buy chickens to sell later.

Mujeres Luchadoras Group's story

The group Mujeres Luchadoras (Women Fighters) are from the city of Villa Elisa. They have 19 members and they are in the 9th cycle of the program for women entrepreneurs at the communal bank. They all get together every so often for mutual support and for other activities, which helps them to continue growing together. An example of their work is Martina, who sells chickens. She has been doing this for a long time and thanks to that she already has a good business. She is known as a hard working, fighting woman, who is interested in moving her family forward and helping in her home, so that they don’t need anything. She says that the business is going well and that she wants to continue investing in it, so that is why she is asking for a loan, in order to buy chickens in quantity, so that in this way she will have them available in order to meet the requests of her clients.
