Tawopaneh Ii Group's story

Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT) is very pleased to present to you members of the “Tawopaneh II” group from Magburaka. They are small-business people who are based in Magburaka, a town in Northern Sierra Leone. They are seeking a loan of 700,000.00 SLL for each to enable them to further expand their businesses. Consequently, they will make more profit and improve their standard of living. The leader of this group is Osman. Osman is age 30 and was born in a small town called Mile-Ninety-One. He is married to a businesswoman and they have two children – one is in primary school and the other is not of school age. Osman sells fish. He has been running this business for 10 years now. He will use his share of this loan to buy several baskets of fish for sale.
