A loan of $1,950 helped a member to purchase summer clothing for later sale.

Kyrey Group's story

The Kyrey communal bank is maD. up of 15 members in the city of Lambaré. All are women who want to progress in life and who are, above all, very hardworking. They are working to secure a better future for their families through group effort and thanks to the support of the Fundación and Kiva.

One of the members is Sra. Sixta who sells all kinds of clothing such as shirts, T-shirts, pants and other items. She tells us that she always has a large variety of merchandise and for that reason people always buy from her. Thanks to her good service and the variety she offers she has a well established clientele. Consequently she has, in a manner of speaking, a steady income.

She is requesting a loan from Fundación Praguaya in order to buy summer clothing since the season is approaching and she wants to get her merchandise in and have a good supply on hand. The other members of the communal bank, along with Sixta, are very grateful for the help they are receiving.
