Natividad's story

Natividad is a member of the Communal Bank “Santa Barbara” which is in the central village of Chinumani in the District and Province of Yunguyo, Department of Puno. She is 77 years old, married, and has two children who are independent.

Sra. Natividad is a new member who recently joined Manuela Ramos. She is requesting a loan in the amount of 300 PEN and will invest the money in the purchase of two sheep that she can sell later at a higher price. Sra. Natividad also sells pigs and other products such as potatoes, “chuño” (freeze-dried potatoes), and beans. She sells every Sunday and works with her husband.

Sra. Natividad wants to continue working in her business and improve her earnings. What she likes about the Communal Bank is the convenience of the loan.
