Ayité

Togo
Akodessewa, Togo / Clothing

A loan of $950 helped buy clothing.

Ayité's story

Ayité is a single 25-year-old man.

Ayité has been working as a retail merchant since 2006. He buys and sells ready-to-wear clothes to all-comers in his Lome shop. He buys clothes at Lome's general market, from wholesalers coming from China and the United States. He works alone in his shop.

Ayité requested his first loan from WAGES to buy a newly-arrived shipment of ready-to-wear clothes, for retail sales. He is thinking about expanding his shop with these additional profits.

In coming years, Ayité would like to open more outlets inside the country. He stated that the foreseen profits will ensure his financial autonomy.
